Everywhere in the Hernando County would be helpful.
Legal, of course.
I also know every place where you can bring your own kart and on a paved surface.

If you want to make a trip to Uwharrie National Forest in North Carolina (center), is a wonderful place. Free camping (albeit primitive) and well-stocked outpost 19 miles of selected off-road trails and swimming in the river or lake, fishing the idea. Unpaved
and on the side of roads and back pastures of the farmers. Rural people that love to open tonight roaring exhaust. Horses and other animals love it too.
